Sponge Cake Ingredients
 
All Sweet Success products are made with the best ingredients available, whatever the cost. 
We aim to keep our products free of all GMO ingredients, and don't use any hydrogenated fats. 
 
We use ingredients with a vegetable origin wherever possible, but where we will achieve a better result with an animal product, such as butter and egg in our fruit cake, we will do so. 
All our products are suitable for a standard vegetarian diet, except for the Pastiche and Pastrima range, which contains gelatin.
 
As we are a small bakery and use nuts (hazelnuts and walnuts specifically) on a daily basis, we can't guarantee any of our products are totally nut free.  Other allergens we use include milk, egg, soya, and wheat gluten.  As all products are made in the same production area, although we take great care to minimize any risk of cross contamination it important to make customers aware of this, as those with serious allergies may react to even the tiniest particle of an allergen.
 
We do not currently offer any gluten or dairy free cakes.
 
Vanilla Genoese Ingredients:  Sugar, Wheatflour (contains Gluten),  Egg, Vegetable Oil, Water, Skimmed Milk Powder, Glycerine,Raising Agent (E450a, Sodium Bicarbonate), Salt, Emulsifier E 471, Preservative E202, Vanilla Flavour.

Chocolate Genoese Ingredients:  Sugar, Wheatflour, Egg, Vegetable Oil (contains Emulsifier E471), Skimmed Milk, Belgian Chocolate (5%), Glycerine, Dextrose, Raising Agent (E450, E500), Cocoa,  Salt,  Preservative E202, Stabilizer (E415), Colour E155, E133

Death by Chocolate Cake Ingredients:   Sugar, Wheatflour, Egg, Vegetable Oil, Glycerine, Cocoa (4%), Modified Starch, Raising Agent (E500, E541), Emulsifier (E477, E471), Whey Solids (from Milk), Salt, Wheat Gluten, Maltodextrins, Preservative E202, Flavouring, Free Range Whole Egg Powder.
 
Eggless Sponge Ingredients:   Sugar, Reconstituted Skimmed Milk Powder, Wheatflour (contains Gluten), Vegetable Oil, Milk Protein,  Glycerine, Baking Powder (E450, E500), Salt, Vanilla Flavour, Preservative E202, Stabiliser (Xanthan Gum), Emulsifier E 471 
NB THIS PRODUCT IS MADE AND BAKED IN A BAKERY WHERE EGGS ARE USED. THOUGH GREAT CARE IS TAKEN TO MINIMIZE THE RISK OF CROSS-CONTAMINATION WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT MINUTE TRACES OF EGG MAY NOT BE PRESENT.  THIS PRODUCT MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR THOSE WITH SEVERE EGG ALLERGIES.
 
Carrot Cake Ingredients:   Wheatflour (contains Gluten), Sugar, Whole    Egg, Fresh Carrot (11%), Vegetable Oil, Reconstituted Skimmed Milk, Raisins (5%), Pineapple (5%), Walnuts (2%), Dextrose, Glycerine, Raising Agent (E450a, Sodium Bicarbonate), Cinnamon, Salt, Orange Puree, Lemon Puree, Preservative E202, Thickener (Xanthan Gum).
 
Lemon Cake Ingredients:   Sugar, Wheat Flour, Egg, Vegetable Oil, Water, Skimmed Milk powder, Glycerine, Raising Agent E450a (Sodium Bicarbonate), Salt, Natural Lemon Flavour, Emulsifier E471, Preservative E202, Vanilla flavour
