A big part of our business is supplying trade customers all over the country with ready to decorate fruit cakes, sponge cake bases and sugar pastes. We pride ourselves on providing a reliable, efficient service to all our customers - as a small family company ourselves, we understand the pressures on small owner-run businesses, and can provide a level of personal service and flexibility that our busy customers come to rely on. They often start out baking their own cake bases from scratch, but find that as they become busier it is more efficient to buy in good quality bases and concentrate their own efforts on the time consuming decoration element. Many of our customers also run shops selling cake decorating equipment where they re-sell our ready to decorate bases and sugarpastes to local hobby cake decorators.

We also supply many independent high street bakeries, coffee shops and delicatessens who offer decorated celebration cakes alongside their other products but do not have the time or the facilities to produce the rich fruit cake and sponge bases which are needed.

If you are just thinking of setting up a cake business, or in the very early stages, we are happy to give advice by email or phone, but it is best to wait till your business is properly set up, registered with the local authority and has a business website before filling in the trade application form, else you may find some of the questions difficult to complete!
